Rapid Antigen Test
Prime Care offers rapid COVID-19 tests at each of our locations. Conducted via a nasal swab, the primary benefit of a rapid test is that results are extremely fast and allow patients to know if they are infected with the COVID-19 virus within an hour. Our providers are trained to properly administer rapid tests, which allows the results to be more accurate than when the test is self-administered with an over-the-counter product.
PCR Test
The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is a nasal swap test that provides extremely accurate results. Designed to detect genetic material from the COVID-19 virus in the upper respiratory system, these tests are trusted world-wide to properly diagnose COVID-19 infections. Once administered, the tests are analyzed by a lab and the results are reported to the patient within a few days.

Treatments
Treatment for COVID-19 is similar to flu treatment methods. Following a positive test, stay within the confines of your home for the length of time recommended by the CDC, stay hydrated, and monitor your symptoms. If symptoms get worse, seek emergency medical attention.

COVID-19 Test Process
Step 1
When you arrive to our clinic, call us at 601-708-1130 and we’ll conduct the test while you sit in your vehicle.
Step 2
Once you indicate which type of test service you desire (rapid or PCR), one of our trained technicians will administer the test.
Step 3
After the test, we’ll give you an estimated timeframe for when to expect test results. Rapid COVID test results are provided within an hour.
